    What are these?

I thought those are stock sway bar parts but couldn't in my mind place them. I haven't been working on the oldies as much as I should. Here they are in all their crushed glory-

    Power steering hyd valve adjustment.....aaargh

After a reread of your post, what do you mean by "still have back and forth"? Steering wheel play? Adjusting the valve will not correct that.

    Power steering hyd valve adjustment.....aaargh

Have you got the wheels up? There are a few threads here that detail the correct procedure. It's a pretty easy job, so I'm willing to bet you're missing a step.

Life updates + more progress on the ‘68 New Yorker

My condolences for your loss. I used to like VW's too, thank goodness we both smartened up and bought Chrysler's! California has, or at least had, all the parts suppliers for VW restoration, so you're in the right place. I believe all '74's were referred to as "sunbugs". They were all sunroof...

    Glueing Felt to Metal

The cat is out of the box now! Contact cement was the first suggestion, and I agreed with that. This product is made by many other companies. I can't even count the number of five gallon pails I've been through. It's probably one of the most used adhesives, in many different capacities, and...

    Glueing Felt to Metal

Not at all, just calling your bluff. Nice excuse though. For a corporation the size of 3M, yes. 17 million is a drop in the bucket.

    Glueing Felt to Metal

So because it's made by 3M, nothing could go wrong? They aren't perfect, as their 9 million dollar settlement to the U.S. government for providing defective earplugs to the U.S. Military shows. And not long before that, an 8 million dollar settlement in the state of Minnesota. I also visited...

    Glueing Felt to Metal

Have you used this product to glue felt to metal stubs?

    Glueing Felt to Metal

I agree with 73coupe, also your suggestion of gasket adhesive, which is essentially thicker contact cement, typically black in colour, and usually comes in a toothpaste style tube. Whereas contact cement is yellow, also available red dyed. Depending on the colour of your felt, it's something to...

Abandoned for 40 years: 1968 New Yorker 2 DR

Second guessing yourself? At least it's not too late! The ice blue silver looks great. It's a silver slab side shark! I personally am not a fan of bright red cars, and since you're going the mild custom route, may as well have custom paint? The black cherry or silver would both look great...

    71 fury floor mats

I didn't think of that, perhaps? The seat is out of a 1972 Newport. They were in the very original, smashed '71 Polara I parted year's ago. I believe they are rubbermaids as well, I'll get you some underside pic's.

And since you seem to be liking floor mats recently ayilar, here are some from my collection.

    71 fury floor mats

Anyone know if this was factory, or possibly dealer installed? The remains of a Pentastar tag are present, and a red "T" inserted into the seat frame. Talk about keeping 'er warm, that is directly centered on the passenger seat.

    71 fury floor mats

I'm the same way. I hate to see them crushed even once stripped, you never know who will need what body, or odd part months, or years from now. I took the spindles, and all front brake parts, perfect condition dash pad, the high back bench seat, and other miscellaneous interior item's. I was...

    71 fury floor mats

Long gone unfortunately. It was at the pick and pull on the west end. Looking at the date of this thread, it would have been recycled over four years ago. What were you looking for? I have accumulated quite the part's hoard.

No, sorry, the fender tag had been removed by the time I came across it. I wouldn't have thought to record the VIN either.

    Dealer Installed "Vinyl" Top

My old '69 Cadillac hearse had the "factory" - Miller Meteor, black landau roof, dark grey body. That paint was easily over 1/16 of an inch thick! Essentially an overkill version of todays fake antique "crinkle" paint, thinned down tar? It's different! Not gritty, just wrinkly.

    Battery replacement

I've never used one of these, however my first thought was, will this affect venting? I'm sure it's not airtight, just being paranoid. If you look at the legendary battery topper website, they say to use the Delco or Sears maintenance free model's. That one in the picture you posted has raised...

1971 Plymouth Sport Fury GT Brogham & U code Super Comando

You have one of the most kick *** vehicles ever, period. Enjoy it! And have a great summer! Well no wonder he's always there. Look at the size of that anchor and chain! That's a good way to keep your C body at bay.

    1970 B5 Sport Fury GT...Critters folly....back to basics

I think certain '70's had vents, convertible's and four door sedan's for sure. Were there two door 1970 fury post's? Any fuselage post coupes? I see Plymouth being the only possibility, and can't even really see that. Anyhow, if your parts car has the same style window's as your car...
