What are you working on today??

Yea, the problem is my ears are pretty old.... and abused.... and some tinnitus in my left ear just for good measure. A lot of this gets wasted on me. I'll drop a name though.... Back when we had the calibration lab, one of our customers was McIntosh Labs in Binghamton, NY. We did a bunch...

NOT MINE 1970 Chrysler New Yorker 4dr hardtop parts car in Mt Airy, MD

This fella is super easy to talk to and has said he purchased it for motor and ac parts. The rest is going wherever. Said he would sell anything for the "right price" as he is not a fan of the C body. Those seats are in great shape. Hate to see those thrown out in the weather.

My car is in an upcoming movie

yes, it was the IMCDb that made me aware of a Newport like mine being in any movies at all. The Infiltrator features a black 66 Newport 2 door, but I'm pretty sure it's not my car.

360 Aluminum Manifold, eBay Knock Off on Edelbrock?

Car I'm trying to buy is 1973. Thanks for the tip, Willis! Will post pictures if I buy. Great info! Thanks Wyatt. Possibly using Carter AFB 625 cfm square bore. 1.5" diameter primary throttle blade, 1.625+" secondary. Think there'd be any issues with throttle blades opening after mounting it?

    Epic Whoops thread.

Awh, he just liked your picture enough to save it. It is a pretty cool picture in all honesty. Even if you are losing your inner guts on her.

He is going to check on the washer bottle for me on Monday. Unless you are already talking to him about that one piece. Also, perhaps a deal on the tags,etc.etc.

    mini starter fit issue

You shouldn't need the kit, you have a lot of room the way it is, but I won't argue that it may be easier to get to the terminals.

    Differential gear change?

The 4sp usually gives you a quicker 1st gear than a torqueflite or th400. Great thread, the debate rages on! Whew

What are you working on today??

I think sound is the most subjective of all the changes we make. So many things to choose from. And we don't know what it's going to sound like until we run the test. So many test to run. You pay your money, and you take your chances. Wash, rinse, repeat till happy. My sound testing room.

If you do go by there I would buy the tags and BS off the car. Good parts on this thing.

    NOT MINE 1970 Polara convertible.

The trim tag was lost during a repaint in 1980. When the car was purchased the current owner had the carpet replaced and the upholstery company found no BS under the seats when they removed them. Nice fella that is willing to talk about the car.

Hood seal. Helps redirect air through the radiator Your '66 should have a metal "stone deflector" that is bolted between the radiator support and the bottom of the bumper. That also helps keep the air flowing through the radiator. What temperature thermostat did you change to?

    mini starter fit issue

On the mini starter conversion kit: I removed the connector from the mini starter (see photo) and installed the mini starter without the conversion kit to see if one is actually needed. For peace of mind, I am ordering the conversion kit (I just ordered it now from the link posted above)...

Suggestions for a "Performance" muffler that isn't too loud

In addition to changing the mufflers, I’d also suggest putting in some type of dynamat- there are lots of options for it now. I went from 3.5” with 2 chamber Flowmasters and dumps, to a 3” TTI system with tailpipes, Flowmaster 40 series Delta Flows, and added dynamat to the floor when the...

    Over heating

Where in the range is it? Sometimes, those gauges aren't real accurate. I'd suggest buying an infrared temperature gun and checking the engine temperature near the sender.
