    Edelbrock 1406 stumbles while Cornering.

That's one way to look at it, and I could just upgrade the front sway bar. '65-'73 C-Body Sway Bar Kit: 1-1/4" w/ Factory Sway Bar App.

    Edelbrock 1406 stumbles while Cornering.

Push rod was checked when the pump was installed. Was OK at that time 1k mi. ago. I have future plans to install a serviceable Carter pump with a modified lighter spring. Just haven't got to it yet. Next on the list of things to do is a Firm Feel steering gear (on order, stage 1) and upper and...

    Edelbrock 1406 stumbles while Cornering.

So, this is what I ended up with. 7/16 drill bit. It looks like the float it is setting on it from the image, but it is actually set exactly at 7/16. Initially what I seen was the level was set at close to 3/8 and the drop was at 1-1/8. At test drive noticed only at one time very slight flat...

    Edelbrock 1406 stumbles while Cornering.

As the title says. 1406 Edelbrock with performer intake on my 440. I am getting a slight stumble (flat spot) while cornering. Feels like it runs out of fuel for a second but comes right out of it. Never stalls and runs good otherwise. Not a real issue. More of an annoyance. Looking for...

Lost Reverse, 68 Newport still fighting me.

Got the Newport back from local transmission shop after a total rebuild. The 727 now shifts quick and solid as it should, with no issues to speak of. Small pan leak that I addressed. The tech said fluid was blowing by the rear servo seal among other issues, I'm sure as I found some band...

68 Chrysler transmission OEM dipstick length?

Confirmed 16-5/16" from full line to metal retainer. So....I'd have to say it's ok assuming the filler tube is original to the vehicle which I would have to confirm.

68 Chrysler transmission OEM dipstick length?

Would someone please confirm the length of the 727 transmission dipstick, BB application. When I purchased my Newport, it did not have a trans dipstick, only the filler tube which I believe to be original. I'm currently using a dipstick from Summit racing but, I don't trust the accuracy, and...

    Loss of fuel under throttle.

If the cam shaft was wiped out, the problem would not be intermittent, as you stated it ran great most of the day. When replacing the fuel pump shaft, get someone to help bump the engine over and confirm the travel on the fuel pump shaft is close to the camshaft specs. Pull the coil wire so the...

Lost Reverse, 68 Newport still fighting me.

This may be the case as it always was slow going into reverse. Still doing research as I find the time. Thank you, for the input. I talked with an older gentleman who has been working on these mopar transmissions for over forty years and we set up a time to get it on the lift.
