    66 Monaco Wagon Preservation

    You probably know, but the wrinkles behind the arm rest bases can be removed (carefully) with a heat gun after removing the bases. It worked for me and after some 30 years, I may have to repeat the proceedure. Beautiful wagon! Lindsay

    My negative battery cable has been adjusted for "twist-on-twist-off" friction fit for years (maybe 20 or so) and seems, for me to be a reliable and fool-proof solution. Just my idea. Lindsay

    I used "chrome" paint on my arn rest bases and was pleased with the result. Now, some years later, I'm thinking of re-doing the same and adding a topcoat of clear. My 5cents. (In Canada we lost our pennies and now have to use nickles! LOL) Lindsay

    That trim is beautiful! Some people are so very talanted, it is amazing. My question is, how is the black stripe painted on the polished parts. It seems that masking tape would be almost impossible and probably give less tha disirable results. Also is adhesion a problem on the polished surface? LC
