More Recent Photos of 1971 Chrysler 300 Sunroof Car That Showed up on Facebook

I didn't know there were breakdowns available like that. Is it known how many U code 71 300s were built?

Abandoned Chrysler fusies in the woods

Where are those located? I need a passenger door for my '71 300 and would love to find one with power windows and factory side mirror like that one has. But it looks like it might have some rot on the lower edges?

1971 Sport Fury GT - New Owner of the Vegas GT

Nice.....I looked at that car when he had it advertised on Craigslist back in 2014. Price then was $14k which was way too high. Glad you got it at a fair price. A true "cash talks" scenario. I was in Vegas for work, ended up talking to Lewis for well over an hour checking out all the stuff at...

They're still out there: 1971 Sport Fury GT

We have a winner! The previous owner mentioned he installed E-body mirrors on the car in the early 70s, and had them painted to match. It was just brought up in conversation, my friend would not have known those were not original. The emblems which belong on the car (the 440 and Sport Fury...

They're still out there: 1971 Sport Fury GT

LOL yes there are some very eclectic modifications to the car. I didn't look at all those gauges in detail but there were several add-on radios including an 8-track player mounted all over the place. (Actually there was a couple 8 tracks in the console). Car had hood pins installed, aftermarket...

They're still out there: 1971 Sport Fury GT

Close friend of mine just picked up this 1971 SFGT, sitting dormant since the late 70s! And the find basically fell in his lap. Some guys have all the luck......As it turns out a neighbor of his a few houses down has seem him always working on old Mopars, so recently stopped by his house to tell...

THanks to those who replied. i'd like to keep the interior original, so will continue searching for a 1971 dashpad.

Are the dashpads in 1970 and 1971 300s the same?

Hello, what color is yours? I'm assuming you have one then from a 1971 Chrysler C-body? What do you want for it? Thanks.

Are the dashpads in 1970 and 1971 300s the same?

I have a 71 300 in dire need of a dashpad (black). I've found one from a 1970, but am unsure if they are the same. Can anybody advise? Thanks

Someone school me on 1973 C-body spindles

What is so good about them? There is a 1973 Newport at my local U Pull It type wrecking yard, so I pulled the spindles off because I remember reading some threads here and on the Dry Dock that they were ones to have. And at the ridiculously low price of $32/pair I figured I could not go wrong...

    My Other "Kee" rescue

Nice!! Too good to part out IMO. How's the trunk? Let us know if you get it started. I was unsuccessful with the red one. I think it's skipped a tooth on the timing chain.

    70 Vert Rescue

Can we get pictures of the blue 300? I'm about to try and start the red '70 300 I purchased from there. Have cleaned out/freshened the fuel system, oil change, new plugs and wires. She turns over fine....didn't want to at first took a few hits of the key to break it loose. I'm hoping I can get...

    Bidder Beware!!!

Printed out copies of "email statements" won't be worth the paper it's printed on to the blue hair at your DMV. Especially if you are trying to transfer title from another state. See my previous email on a notarized "Statement of Fact". I think you are dealing with a hornets nest......

    Bidder Beware!!!

Who's name is on the front of the title? Is it the seller's? Or is it someone else, and his name is on the back as "Purchaser"? If that's the case, sounds like he was trying to skip on the transfer and registration fees when he purchased it. That's not going to work, and he's going to need to...

    70 Vert Rescue

LOL, it sure is! Do you know what happened to the two green '70 300 2drs that were at the auction? One seemed pretty nice, but of course green on green. The other green one was a base model of sorts, and had some body damage and no title if I remember correctly. The fate of that one probably...

    70 Vert Rescue

It showed up on the trailer today! About what I expected, totally complete but the interior is thrashed from the sun :eusa_doh:I was leaning towards the blue one you purchased, my son liked the color combo of red/tan better. The only big detractions I can see from a precursory look is there is...

    70 Vert Rescue

Ah, so you bought the blue '70 300 2dr. I bought the red/orange one. It was a toss-up between that one and the one you purchased. Sorry to hear you are parting it out, it still looked like a builder? How's the interior on it? If its fate is sealed, I could use some parts off it to help rescue...

New Member - 71 Newport "barn find" clean car

I can also confirm that the car will fit on a U-haul trailer. I towed my 1971 300 2dr (exact wheelbase as your car) from Tucson to Dallas last year. The a$$ hangs over a bit, but I doubt anyone will have trouble seeing your red C-body :tongueflap: I told them I was hauling a 1992 Taurus station...
