Opinion to rebuild carb or buy new, have a intake manifold leak to

Just avoid the carbs that are calibrated for "emissions" or "fuel economy". I saw on on the Edelbrock website in the past, calibrated for emissions or power. Not seeing it now though. And the kick down only needed a slight adjustment due to using a spacer on the stock manifold.

Opinion to rebuild carb or buy new, have a intake manifold leak to

"Don’t install an Edelbrock carb they are designed to fuel a 305 chevy, not a BB mopar. It will bring many drivability problems, choke problems, Kick down linkage problems, etc. " None of this happened with my Edelbrock 800cfm. Guess i must be lucky.

    Opinions on Holley Avenger 770cfm?

I'm running a Edelbrock 1413 Performer Series on my '66 New Yorker and it is very responsive. And using a 1/2 spacer on the stock manifold even! It's 800cfm and if is ok with a 350hp motor it should be ok with your built 440! It was dropped on and only had to adjust the mixture and idle speed...

    Edelbrock 800 CFM on a 1966 440

I finally got around to swapping on a Edelbrock 1413 800cfm carb. The difference between stock and the Edelbrock is amazing! Only had to adjust the choke and turn down the idle speed slightly. Didn't even touch the mixture screws! Took it out for a drive and it feels like i picked up 30+ hp...

    1966 New Yorker Fuel tank?

I installed the CR20b and it works fine, Only problem is slightly intrudes on shock area. Stock shocks fine but air shocks would be tight and need some sheet metal bent away first. No rust, only fluid film sprayed on.

    1966 New Yorker Fuel tank?

Screw it, I ordered the CR20b/sender/grommet and straps. I'll make another thread on the install when it arrives. It's not worth screwing around with a repair of this tank. Yesterday i went for a ride and my electric fuel pump got an air bubble in it and got stuck at a busy intersection, Cop...

    1966 New Yorker Fuel tank?

Looks like the rear fill grommet is shot and the bottom of the tank had bedliner sprayed on and may have rust behind that. I'll take it to the local gas tank repair place and see what they think.
