We are selling this beautiful 61 New Yorker which has 39,393 miles and an excellent running 413, the interior is original and in super great shape. There are a few small cracks on the vinyl driver armrest shown in picture. The original upholstery is excellent, the dash pad is excellent, there are no cracks and the headliner is near perfect.
We have had this car about a year and she is a hard one to let go. The car has a VA title in our name.
She starts up great and the push button transmission shifts well.
There is some surface rust underneath but she is a solid car. The car has had at least one repaint in the factory white except for the roof which we understand is the original Tahitian Turquoise paint that the original owners had the dealer paint by special order. The roof has had touch ups which weren’t done so well, and although the white is good, there are imperfections. This could be a show car with a little work.
We only ran this car a little around the house and country lane, less than one mile total. We never registered the car with plates. So we didn’t add a bunch of miles to it. We recommend that the car gets trailered home and not driven until the new owners go through it. We can say she starts up great and runs and stops very well. We have other projects to focus on but this is a special car- it’s not often to see one with great original interior and low miles. Contact us for more details. One of the tail lenses has a crack. The weather stripping is original and at least the trunk weather stripping may need to be redone. Previous rust repair in headlight eyebrow area, where rain moisture can gather from front wheel splashing.
