This 1965 Plymouth Sport Fury convertible is an original California black-plate car. It remained in CA with the original owner for almost forty years! It sold to owner #2 within CA in 2004, and was resold to owner #3 in TN in 2005. He had it painted, had installed a new top... and stored it in a barn for @ 15 years (video of recovery on YouTube).
This car is a survivor: original interior, equipped with its original 330hp 383 4BBL and original Torqueflite transmission. Power steering, power brakes, power windows, power top, TILT wheel, front buckets, and equipped with factory AC. It also has the reverberator option.
This car is SOLID --- frame rails and pans are free of rot. It's been slowly recommissioned over the last six months. A short list of parts includes NEW dual-point vintage distributor, FRESH professional restoration of the original carburetor, NEW correct fuel tank, new plugs/wires/coil/ballast resistor, NEW wheel cylinders and rubber brake lines front and rear, new 15" tires w/ NEW Magnum-style alloy wheels, NEW AC clutch, NOS AC fan switch, and NOS fan resistor. NEW trunk seal with NOS trunk lock. NEW power window motors all around. NEW correct antenna with Retrosound AM/FM/Bluetooth. All fluids have been changed.
This car comes with both CALI black plates and copies of the California matching history, and lots of records... including the factory build sheet and the Certicard. Documentation shows the transmission was rebuilt approx. 7K miles ago.
Paint and top color are correct. Bumpers are beautiful. It's not yet perfect but can get there without too much effort left to go.
This is a fantastic clean driver that turns heads, drives smiles, and has loads of history. The NOS dash mat is unused and still in the trunk in its original Chrysler Corp box. Original 14" spinner wheels come with the car, as do most of the old parts that I removed.
