Started a project that I'm not going to finish. 1966 Plymouth Sport Fury / 4 speed / original 4 speed car with 383. THERE IS NO ORIGINAL MOTOR OR TRANSMISSION!! I was going to put a Hemi in with a 5-speed. Car has been completely stripped of any rust and POR15 on the underbelly. Only bodywork that needs to be finished is the lower rear quarters (which I have). All of the trim and emblems have been polished. Red Line gauges updated speedo, clock and rest of gauges. I have everything that came with the car (except engine) plus 4 other cars worth of parts and a Keisler 5-speed. $6500

Do you have a price without all the after market stuff.....? To bad it got taken apart, much nicer before.

How much did those wheels and tires cost you?

Guages are the originals. They were recalibrate by Red Line Guages in Cali. They should go with the car.

I don't know why you guys are tearing this car apart. It seems to me that all the work that has been done has been done well, and that it was not nicer before hand (look at the quarters, wheel wells, and body gaps! At least give some effort before you piss on someone's parade.). And on the wheels: if you don't like them, sell them afterwards and buy yourself a set of $100 stock wheels; though it's not like any of you would buy this car in the first place...

Conservative people on here. Cbodys are that type of car. Alot of them Should be Done right and With taste. I dont like the Ralleys on it and Neither do i like the new wheels. But that is just My opinion. Who cares what i think.

I think the sentiment is that the car in the last picture is complete, somewhat presentable and looks drivable (yes, we cannot discern what that picture is hiding). This car is now dismantled, is a roller, and the next buyer must commit a lot of resources (time and $$) to return it to a drivable status. To some folks that does not automatically command a certain dollar amount toward the work that has already been performed.

Speaking from the POV of a guy with a dismantled 4-speed Fury in the garage, I wish I had never taken my car apart and had fixed it as I went instead. I would be much more interested in the 'before' version of this car than as it sits now.

I'm not saying anybody's right or wrong, just explaining possible reasons for some of the other opinions.

Amen!! I dismantled my 65 Chrysler 300 L 4 speed in my garage 10 years ago and there it still sits. Wasn't even rusted!
Boy what a dumb move!
Would be easier to sell or still fix it if it was all together!
Have ALL parts, even a 65 300 L parts car!
started out at $8000, now down to $5000 for all.
Anyone wants 1 of 105 let me know.
Sorry, didn't mean to hijack thread. You just hit a nerve with a good point!

Tom, if I didn't have my own troubles, and if I had the space, I think I'd be interested in that pile for $5k. Although the other half of my brain (sometimes referred to as my wife) would tell me to wait and and pay more for a complete/running/driving 4-sp car that needs less work overall.

If I was in your shoes after 8 mos, and was really sure I'd not be finishing the car, I'd start probing to sell the wheels/tires.
Then I presume the big brakes prevent those ralley wheels from fitting, so I'd start probing to sell the big brakes, and put factory drums/hubs back on (bare and non-op) with the ralley wheels/tires. Should allow you to drop the price to $3000-3500 and you might get some new interest.
