BTW, is that what you'd call a formal top?
Yes and no. This was the roof you got when you ordered a four-door hardtop. It was different from the sedan roof (different rear window), but you had no choice concerning roofs on the four-door hardtops and it had no special name.

On two-doors, this style roof would be the "formal two-door hardtop" versus the regular two-door hardtop.

thank you, sir

Another oddball C-body. I wouldn't mind seeing the fender tag. It would be a cool car to see in person...those wheels would have to go though.

Dave

I am guessing it would be GC8 - Mood Indigo Metallic...I don't think I have ever seen another car painted that colour before.

Dave

The font on the door tag looks weird. Never seen that font style before.

Get rid of those damn trailer wheels and stick a set of chrome Road Wheels on that puppy!

^^^Above is wrong font, and that is the ONLY one I've ever seen a month spelled out. Probably one that replaced the original after a repaint.

I am glad that car is soo far away from me...starting to like it the more I look at it. Its even a no reserve auction hmmm.
Door stickers were all different plant to plant and sometimes there are variances within the model year...you wold have to research the same plant at the same time period to have an idea if it was correct or not.

I am glad he added the fender tag pic.

Dave

True, but it seems odd to get a "repop" door VIN sticker for this car. I like the car, don't get me wrong. This is just odd.

And yet another seller that can not include himself as an "owner", claiming it's a 2-owner car with the following statement:

"The second owned found out the car was for sale and the agreement was struck for HIM TO PAY HER what he could until he had paid the $700.00 that she wanted from him! It only took 3 months in the early summer of 1994 to do this!!1 It was his. Today he is about to retire from the Air Force and it is time for his car to go."

Or else, he is one of those weirdos who speaks of himself in the third person.

I like this big barney! Someone tell me it's already over priced so I won't bid.

My Fury was assembled in the same plant and has an SPD that is almost exactly three months later (C11). The font on the door VIN sticker looks different and it also only says "12 - 70" instad of spelling out the entire month.
