Not Mine.

This is the first one I've seen in a while that actually appears to be a true police package, albeit a tad pricey at $15k.

1985 Dodge Diplomat Police package "MINT" condition, 318 engine with four barrel carb. This vehicle was bought thru the State of Il. State Police bid process when new. The car went directly to a private non law enforcement person. The car has NEVER been in police service. The person kept it in his garage from new and has been always garaged to date. It has 27440 miles on the car. I just drove it from Ct. to D.C. for police memorial week and it runs PERFECT in every way. Everything works right down to cold AC. I power coated the wheels and installed four brand new tires, new battery when I purchased it 9/20/16 from the person who purchased from the original owners estate. I'm only selling because of health concerns. Please see my 100% feedback and amount of transactions.

Inside remote trunk release, trunk light, inside fast idle control, corrosion protection, extensive use of galvanized steel & lower body urethane stone resistant primer from the factory, dual horns, police ticket light, locking glove box, dual outside remote control mirrors, working factory AM radio with clock, power brakes, power windows, Disc front, tinted factory glass mint, power steering, police package 40/40 H/duty C & V belts, rear window defroster, one key fits ign-doors-trunk, air, calibrated speedometer, police factory oil pressure gauge, factory engine oil cooler, tilt wheel.

It has grill lights, wig wag headlights, rear Whelen strobe rear deck lights, rear back flash tail lights, Whelen siren, Whelen switch box and Motorola working two way radio, Regency scanner. So before you ask the following questions: I know that the equipment is not all period correct, but are all in mint working and installed by a radio/light professional, the under side of the car is as mint rust free as the rest of the car. This is a turn key car that is totally 100% original without any body damage or repaint or interior work ever down to it since new, Totally rust free and paint is like brand new as is the trim. The rubber floor factory mat and interior still smell brand new, spare tire has never been removed.

It will be impossible to ever find a police package car like this one in this condition.

I'm not in a position that I need the money!!! I'm selling it only because I need to sell off some of my things because of health reasons as I stated. Any deposits are not refundable. Any questions please ask. 860-912-5689 Will not accept pay pal until discussed ahead of time. Thank you and good luck.

The police package really turns these into fast cars. We did a "conversion" on my '79 Diplomat Wagon, and it was well worth the trouble. Tremendous torque, and great stopping power. By 1985, the majority of these went into service as "fleet cars," and didn't enjoy high survival rates. I have never seen one of these that had NOT been in police service, so the seller's claims may actually be accurate here...... definitely the best one I have seen to date. THANKS for posting, given time, he'll find a good home for it......

Absolutely gorgeous. I'd be proud driving that.

The perfect example of that downsizing era we all were dragged into. Now they look even better.

A friend owned it for a while. It's THE Nicest M body AHB left....

i agree. thats entirely possible ... lowest mileage M, real squad, that I have ever seen in 30 years of collecting M's.

$15K is up there no doubt.. a little too tall for me by a few grand, but i wouldnt be surprised if a motivated M squad lover jumps at it at/close to that price for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

hope if finds a good home in any event. real nice rig.

In my opinion it will not get the minimum 15k bid, it will be relisted for 10k minimum and sell for 12k.

yep, thats a highly plausible scenario.

but could also sell in "agreed upon" deal during this listing (assuming first time on ebay?). somebody calls seller offering $12K cash, seller agrees and lowers price to that number, and they do a BIN on it.

Best I'd consider is $10K ..its value to me. They doesnt mean it is NOT worth "more" .. just the best I could do on it.

Anyway, I hope seller gets whatever he considers a fair deal and the car gets a good home

Do you still have the wagon?

Very nice!!!!
Oh the wagon is very much still with me, I have sunk FAR too many $$$ in it to sell, and I still use it as my part time "band car" for hauling my electric piano/digital organ and amps, and sometimes, luggage.
