66 Poly 318 Carb

I have a 66 Fury III with a Poly 318 A/T and what I believe is a 2 bbl Stromberg WW3 on it. Does anybody know if, with adapter plate, a 1964 Carter BBD(3684S) off a 383 would work and if so any recommendations for a rebuild kit. TIA

The B-block Carter BBDs had 1.56" throttle plates and the similar 318 BBDs had smaller plates (which is what your intake manifold carb mounting pad should be machined for. Bolt pattern is also different.

Considering CBody67's response, you might consider running an adapter and a Holley 350 or 500 cfm 2 barrel that really helps with the street powerband. You can see the adapter and carb details at Poly 318 Intake Manifolds - Poly318.com
