I believe it had something to do with the brutal heat at Carlisle when the heat index was 114 that year and us old guys had hats on.

I remember Stan saying something about old men in hats.....can't remember where or exactly what tho.

I think a young pup had some unpopular ideas about how he was going to modify his C-body and because of your Imperial projects someone mentioned the combination of you with a sawzall...
I'm thinking it was a joke about you breaking out a sawzall to make a convertible, and the older crowd was worried about burnt heads. I believe you made the observation that old people always wore hats anyway.

I haven't seen that thread. I was referring to ( I think) one of my threads were you(Stan) said something to the effect of," when there's an old man wearing hats driving mopars forum". Or something along those lines.. I didn't realize it was plagiarism ..lol

Yup before me..... I was still sporting 6" of lift with 35" tires!! Man I miss my jeep.....sometimes!

I've been wearing full brim hats since I was in my teens. I don't think I'm old yet.
There's no single thread named sawzall wars; It just refers to how warmly I was greeted when I first joined.
