Just got these beauties in!! They are going to look SO good on the 68!

I also got these factory style caps for 68 too…

Though I feel that these are kinda ugly, at the same time they’re cool because they’re original and would give my car a period correct “stock” look.

Everyone I’ve shown the “Chrysler” script wheel covers has had the same reaction - “DAMN!” , and I agree. They’re just pure art. I had some worry about them not fitting on the 68, but the disc style caps stick out WAY more than the later formal style caps.

Also I’ve been mocking up the throttle linkage, kickdown and torque shaft linkage.

You’ll have to excuse the horrifying wiring mess that is my engine compartment / the mismatched colors. I’m very aware of how messy and ugly it looks lol. My finned aluminum Cal Custom valve covers need to get sent to the metal polisher and then I’ll install them on my 440! Also going to get a bigger air cleaner but similar style with the fins.

Everything looks to play nice with eachother! Also something exciting is to be able to actuate that throttle linkage from inside the car using the accelerator pedal. It was RUSTED stuck when I got it. I’m at least 220 lbs and my entire body weight on either the gas or brake pedal wouldn’t get them to move. So it’s a weird feeling for them to be free and smooth!!

I need to install the front to rear brake line and then the brakes are ready for fluid and then they can be bled!
