I traded my '65 Valiant yesterday for a '66 Chrysler Windsor (Canadian car)

Ordered with a 440, 727, 3.23 rear, tilt/telescopic steering column, rear defrost, and tinted glass. Currently has Wilwood front disc brakes as well.

I liked the little Valiant, it started out as a 170 slant 6, 3 on the tree, 7 1/4 rear, radio delete, lighter delete! I rebuilt a '71 318, aftermarket pistons, .480 Comp cam, Spitfire shorty Early A headers, 833 4 speed, 8 3/4. It was a fun car but it was loud, and my wife hated riding in it. I decided to look for something else, traded straight across for this '66.

I love the style of these, I also have a '67 Newport (and a few Forward Look cars). It was a blast driving this home.

If that Windsor is a factory 440 car it is a rare gem.
VIN and fender tag would verify that.
The majority of 1966 Canadian Windsors were 383 cars with either 2 or 4bbl. and painted red.
Good even trade, most importantly hope the wife is happy with the optional bucket seat interior ( Basically upgraded from a 300) and luxurious ride!

You added 10 feet and 3000 pounds.... and you don't need to go on a diet !!! ( L O L )

No fender tag, the car has been repainted, looks like it got lost in the process. However, VIN reads CL23J69xxxxxx, J being the 440. Pretty cool!
Yes it's very comfortable. I have a '67 Newport 383 4 bbl with power bench seat, power antenna, power trunk, front & rear speaker, and reverberator (it all still works!) which we also love driving around.

My V8 auto ac ps pb A body doesn't get driven much. To small, to light, to noisy, rides to rough.
Much better to drive my C body.

I installed a NOS reverborator package in my 68 Newport.
Kinda like pre- historic surround sound!
To give others a perspective, it sounds like a kids echo microphone!

Haha yes, when there's music playing, it sounds great! When it's just someone talking, it's pretty psychadelic with the echo. The owners manual says it's supposed to sound like you're sitting in a concert hall, as the rear speaker and reverberator delay the sound by a millisecond.

Funny you say that. I have a '70 Dart 340 I bought when I was 16. It's a beautiful car, I fully restored it. But it doesn't get driven as much as it should either.

The 69 GTS I had for a few years in the late 70s was a blast. 340, auto, ps, pb, radio, 3.55 rear. Clean as a pin. Yellow, black top and seats. No rattles. My 75 dart is a tin can.
Had a 68 Newport at the time, almost never drove the Newport then.
