I may have a need for another set in the near future....

Think of how many of these rims got crushed and deryed

Thousands ....... My NOS set of 70-74 centers just came in the mail last week. I already have NOS trim rings, just gotta find the correct NOS wheels.

A NOS right 70 polara grille, a NOS left 70 superlite grille and a few hundred...

I don't think so. I bet literally all of them got pulled off first and ended up with new homes.
Yards always yanked the rims, even steelies. Derby guys would have yanked them to sell also. They needed the money.

I agree...especially road wheels.

Not within the first twenty years of their existence, they were just wheels, worse yet, C body wheels. I have been into C's since I was in my early teens so they always meant something to me. Derby guys and yards werent paying attention then.

I have heard tales of NOS vendors buying thousands of items, going through the score and throwing out all the C body stuff since it wasnt worth anything.

The NOS centers are more valuable and versatile than the grille and more scarce. Its time for me to collect the right parts, not as many as I can locate, but the right ones, the ones I'll need. Couldnt pass it up

I'm considering another formal.....the 74 NY'er coupe and another one in Indiana. Both in a lot better condition than my 1978 NYB.

I figured you would consider another formal....... You're a formal kinda guy
