Thanks all! This is a low / no rust car I bought out of Tennessee ~20 years ago. Very good overall condition body, "frame" and interior that I am updating and renewing tip to tail. My hope is to have many road trips when done.

I have my front shocks out now on my '68 Newport 4D HT. It has old grommets still in but I see a metal sleeve in them from what I believe are the original shocks. I believe I remove these before installing my new KYB shocks with new grommets. I want to make sure before pulling them out and also...
I actually found a '68 Chrysler manual through a used book seller on Amazon a few years back. Do a general Google search but go beyond the first and 2nd page of results.
Thanks for the info guys. I have been slowly replacing most of the front end this winter on my '68 Newport. First time ever doing this type of work and have been reading a number of threads on here that have been helpful. Including a reply to another of my questions in the spring.
