Everything I said was prefaced by “according to the ‘67 parts book”.
I also didn’t concur with there being more single snorkel air cleaners for the 440 than what the parts book states.
I currently have 2 ‘67 Imps so I’m well aware of what they look like and I also have a couple of spare ‘67 air cleaners from Imperials.
Without having looked at any reference materials accept the ‘67 parts book I will say I don’t recall seeing a short round single snorkel air cleaner on a 440...
Actually by my second post I had 440 stuck in my head so if he needs a correct one for a 383 or one with 2 snorkels I can’t help.
There’s only 2 part numbers for a 440 with single snorkel in 1967, with and without c.a.p..
If the valve is closed and there’s no pressure on the rocker they jiggle freely like that. Put the covers back on Post another video with a cold start.
Good luck on your search for pistons. I would just call my engine guy to have him source them for me so I have no suggestions but I’ll tell you that I recently had to buy pistons for a .030 over 440 and it was slim pickings as far as anything readily available.
I’d ditch those 346s in favor of...
That is probably true and in fact I would say ‘67-‘73 is a safe bet. Might be some different mounting brackets but as long as you have your original you can change out brackets.
