77 NYB - turn signal flasher location?

So after playing Steering Wheel Limbo and finally locating the flasher - thanks for the tips! - I replaced it, and it didn't fix the problem. I then realized I was too smart for my own good (as usual) and the problem was actually a blown 20A fuse in bay 4 of the fuseblock. Arrrggh... All's...

77 NYB - turn signal flasher location?

I'll give the hanging-like-a-bat idea a go. :) That is definitely a better position to look from, thanks for the tip!

77 NYB - turn signal flasher location?

Nope, that is just the black box full of AGC glass fuses and the big 60 amp(?) square metal fuse. I spent a lot of time wrestling with that over the winter, but that's another story. I really hate getting under the dash, my garage is very narrow so the door doesn't have a lot of swing for access.

77 NYB - turn signal flasher location?

Hey y'all, My turn signals went out the other day, so I figured I'd replace to flasher as a first step before I dig in any further. My hazards are working, so I suspect it's the flasher. I will be darned if I can find the bloody thing! I've been rooting around under the dash, pulled the trim...

Lost my #%@in' keys! '77 NYB

Good on ya! If I organized anything like that, my wife would shoot me thinking that an alien life form had taken over my body.

Lost my #%@in' keys! '77 NYB

Hallelujah! After turning the house and garage upside down, I decided to throw a Hail Mary and check with the supermarket I visited on the way home from the Hyundai dealership. They must have fell out of my pocket at the check-out! So I'm grabbing them this morning and making some copies, and...

Lost my #%@in' keys! '77 NYB

Fortunately, it's unlocked. Is there any way to find the key code? I've got the specific part numbers to order blanks, but don't know what the cut is. Is that info stashed away anywhere in the car? I'm sure Chrysler wouldn't have any records going back that far, right?

Lost my #%@in' keys! '77 NYB

Hi y'all, So a guy took a nice cruise (to the doctor's office) the other day, came home, then got a Lyft ride to go pick up my daily from the shop. Drove that home, and now a couple of days later I can't find the keys to Great White! I've given the house, car, garage and other car a thorough...

    Next steps? '77 NYB w/400 4-bbl

In answer to an earlier observation, the lean-burn box is definitely unplugged... Today I sprayed around all the vacuum connections I could find with brake cleaner, but didn't detect any changes in idle. My mechanic has a smoke machine, so I'll have him shake it down when I bring it over after...

Thanks again, you are really helping me to learn the nuances of this engine. I'm going to start with a smoke test, there's no reason to assume there isn't a vacuum leak with the lean symptoms I'm having. If there's no leak and the problem persists, I'll swap over to the Holley 1901. I'll let...

    Next steps? '77 NYB w/400 4-bbl

Thanks for the extensive info, greatly appreciated! The brakes do not seem particularly "boosted" compared to other '70s yachts I've driven, so that's a good place for me to start looking again. I did a cursory examination a while back but nothing was obvious. Doesn't mean here isn't a crack...

Hi y'all, When I bought my car back in August, it was running like crap. I barely got it home from VA to NC. It would die at idle in gear. I have since replaced the ignition with an orange box and new distributor and replaced the accelerator pump on the carb. It runs better, but still has a...

    1.6A draw on 30A fuse 9 - '77 NYB 400

I think you're right. With the lamp removed, the circuit cannot be completed, so no draw. Case closed, for now.
