Some news, I got the car into the local garage/test station for a safety check before an MOT. (UK's annual vehicle check- not required on 40+ year old cars but cars must be kept roadworthy). All it needs are rear shock absorbers and repair a corroded brake pipe.

It's definitely not a 73 engine. Looks like 10-19-66 ? I would love to know it's history. No serial number. I will make one up and put it on a copper plaque...

I need to locate the engine serial number for the UK registration. Internet searches say it's on a flat plate on the drivers side behind the AC compressor. Is this the correct location? I can't seem to make much out, I have done some engine cleaning, so tomorrow I can have another...

That's helpful. Nothing to do the the AC. Is there any vacuum reserve tank somewhere?

Thanks for the link...That's great. I have bought the 73 ones (hard copy- body & chassis) waiting for them to arrive. This will give me something to research for now. I also am sure there is some kind of vacuum canister removed.. does anyone have pictures of near the front above the horns?

Drivers window dropped suddenly about 8" looks like there are some teeth missing from the motor! Got a replacement part from Rock Auto and wrestled with the regulator and got it all back and working. ( thanks to going over the forums with great info)
