If it's 2500$ in Germany I would like to have this one for spare parts, not to save it. Parking it on my ground in front of the house "in the green" so my neighbours have to look at it every day:D
Sh...forgotted to answer! There was a small black o-ring in the bbb package you can install in the high pressure line. I had the o ring in the pump und wrecked it putting the HP line in...worked better to put the ring directly "on the line".
My friend said that when I let off the accelerator, the Chrysler blues heavily on the right bank and a little on the left. So after just 52 years it's time for new valve stem seals. How much torque are the rocker arms tightened with? I didn't find it directly in the BSM.
There are 2 types of pulleys. Some will be needed to just pulled of others are with a nut.
Here is mine, without nut. Just pulling it of with force and a special tool.
Like this
No. No pulley included, you need to pull of the pulley with an extra tool. Needs much force. It's pressed on.
I bought this one.
BGS technic Riemenscheiben-Abzieher & Montage-Satz | für GM, Ford | 13-tlg. 4026947077543 | eBay
I needed about 20-30min to took of the pulley and press it on to...
My friend -who was driving my Opel commodore in back of me- told me that ther comes blue smoke especially from the right bank when I took my foot from the Accelerator. So valve stem seals are the next project to go on.
Is this a big deal? Never did it one a Mopar. Did it on my German veteran...
I tried to rebuild mine...made it even worser :/. Bought a new one from BBB Industries over RA and rinsed the system: all problems gone and runs perfectly.
So. Got it. After the alternator passed away yesterday I used the one I found in the trunk (Reman Alternator 7544 c). 78 Amp?
But to be sure I ordered another one and a control unit from RA (AC Delco).
Now I have it on 12,5 mpg which is pretty ok for the way I drove it.
Now the starter starts...
Uhhhhhh 6,19 mpg (38L/100km). Pretty bad XD.
Filled it up today after checking the carb. Already runs in lower rpm (hot with D ~550-600 from hearing). Runs very smooth.
