Today I replaced the ballast resistor, coil and distributer pickup (gaped per manual) now it doesn't run at all on her own. If I squirt it with starter fluid, she'll fire then die. The wife is SO done with this car. Sad because we both loved cruising with the windows down.

That slow crank is a starter issue most likely. Have you checked if you're getting the full voltage at the starter when engaged?

For my eye the wide top to narrow bottom would help reduce the blind spot that a wide base would cause. My 76 NYB has wide C pillars and it has a HUGE blind spot.

Thank you, Dave. I replaced the switch and cleaned the connections thinking that was the problem. I'll check the resistance at the motor now.

My 76 NYB has a VERY hot fan switch when set at any speed higher than low. Any idea what the issue is and how to fix it?

Hi All, Any ideas how to fix the odometer in my 76 NYB? Speedometer still works smoothly, so it's not the cable. The reset knob still turns and resets the trip odometer. Help is appreciated. Mark
