MONC440

I have been in the automotive, muscle car, hot rod scene my entire life. I grew up on a farm where my dad taught me all about fixing anything mechanical. Because dairy farming wasn't vary profitable in the late 70's and 80's my dad also had a body shop specializing in hot rods (pre 1948 cars) and muscle cars from 1963 to 1972. We were always a Mopar family and at 15YO I bought my first car, a 1970 Dart 340 car for $750. It had a new 340 engine that needed to be assembled and the body was so rusty from the Michigan winters the front fenders were flapping in the wind going down the road. My dad let me use the shop to build the car and by my 16th BD it was completely done. My car building resume, cars I helped build in my dads shop; 1970 Dart, 72 Duster, 3 Model A Ford's, 1934 Hudson, 1932 Plymouth, 1932 Ford, 1970 Charger, 1939 Ford Deluxe, 1969 Camaro, Cars I built myself: 1972 Pro-Street Dart, 1930 Model A Ford, 1963 Plymouth Sport Fury, 1976 Dodge Power Wagon, 1982 Ford F100 2wd, 1983 Ford F150 4wd.

I went on to get a degree in automotive technology and have made my career in the automotive world. From 1996 to 2011 I contracted to Ford, GM, Chrysler, VW as a training designer/instructor and in 2011 I started working at Toyota R&D in Ann Arbor Michigan.

My project now is a 1970 Plymouth Sport Fury and that's why I'm here. First time I have ever built a C body.
