I thought so too. Because of how thick it is, I assumed it was for something heavy. But I had it in the area where the power steering pump and alternator where waiting to get reinstalled. The bolt pattern is odd...im taking another look today.

I'll look again, its embarrassing but i would hate to have to take down a bunch of stuff after finding out where it goes.
