Spot on analysis. I went thru the same thought process. Side panels are where they were put in the old days it was the only logical location.
Did it all done the sound is great but no seats yet. Once the seats are back installed will see how it sounds then.

The black is by design. The convertible is black the flooring and dash are black. The rings on the window handles are black.
Offset agains the off white seating and panels represents the look I am after.

No I could not understand why someone would design something so hard when it should be easy to change a bulb.
So I tried to pull the light socket out into the trunk.
It worked with a little help drone some good tools.
Nothing broke and the lights are easy to change
Yup. People have a right to their opinion it is good something’s are worth listening to but at the end of the day my car my rules.
Not building this to sell it. Building this because it was my dad’s car and want to enjoy it for as long as I can

Trying to figure out how to replace the tail lights on my 69 Chrysler Newport.
I do not want to force or break anything
Looking in the trunk I can see the wires leading up to the sockets. But I cannot figure out how to remove the bulb.
There are what appear to be 4 nuts holding the back...
The only place for a speaker in the back is top center back seat. This is a convertible. Behind the seat is the area where the top folds into.
The rear side panels work best, sound is fantastic. Using the speaker in the center seat as a base.
