I find it kinda amazing how many car guys (mostly painters ) I know over the years who spend a lot of time smoking when they could be wrenching. Some kind of zen thing? But th rug really tied that garage together, dude.
You cant see any rust on outside. Inside of trunk the inner quarter meets way down in the drivers side is rusty. And if u open the doors the rockers have a few spots. Overall, its very nice. Floor is solid and bumpers are nice. Doors are awesome. Paint is from 1984, so it's vintage for sure!
It sure gave me a laugh when I was offered it. Some of my friends about choked when they heard it. Asked someone who knows and kinda was blown away. About what it would be worth. Either way it was pretty funny, but never would I take a chance like that. Did get some more car part trade offers...
As much as I would love to keep it I already havel three other musclecars. I'm not gonna part it out or sell the hood. I like the way it looks but I can see how some hate it. Believe it not almost everyone loves it up here. I've had a lot of low ball offers but the cake is some dumb *** offered...
I have an awesome car for sale with 52k orig miles. My gramps painted it in 1984 and put Duster / Super Bee scoops on the hood and eight dual exhaust tips. Car is in good shape and I drive it all the time when weather permits. Original 440 with 727 and big rear with a sure grip. Look in...
Prolly find another Mopar to put it in and have some fun. I like to decode engines like Indiana Jones. I do like that it has a stock Holley instead of my old super bee AVS. Never had an engine this complete.
Well it's been a few days since I was back on the forum but good you guys dig my gramps White Lightning! Anybody interested out there? I've been driving it almost everyday up here in MPLS when weather permits and spanking a few imports. Runs awesome and lays some rubber. Just want a good home...
Have a 77 New Yorker for sale with super bee scoops for sale on Craigslist for cheap. Gramps painted it in 1984. Got cop shocks, cop 440 motor, cop 727 etc... Even a sure grip. Oh yeah, the lighter works too!
Thanks. My grandpa still owns his original 77 New Yorker with 29k orig miles on it. After driving it a few times I was hooked. Still has a bunch of large cars but the best ones are Mopar.
Just pulled out a complete original 1968 440 engine from a wrecked Imperial with super low miles. Parked in garage for over 25 years. Block casting 2536430 date 4-20-67. Pad is stamped D 440 and 7 14 2. Exhaust is correct right 2532464 and left 2463107. Intake is correct 2806178 date 5-18-67...
I'm a big Mopar fan and I use to be into Roadrunners and SuperBees. But I have always loved the big cars for their simplicity and size. My grandfather taught me a lot about thee big ones and it has rubbed off on me.
