Have we not seen CM23T0C173550 auctioned off recently? With @sixpkrt and others wondering about the low price?

Nice? It is extremely nice. Nicely optioned, and the engine bay looks like the car has been pampered.
I like the cloth seats more than the vinyl, too. Only the color is a turnoff.

What has happened to C body prices??? The dealer asking price of almost $20K seems too low for such a nice car. Maybe it is because it has the Auto-temp 1 system?? I like the optional wheel covers though...................

If 40K miles original, it seems like a good buy .....................

I agree. The car is probably priced a bit low. Also, if the 40K miles is accurate, there must be a helluva story associated with this car. How the heck does such a car sit around for more than fifty years and be in such good condition? Who owned it and why didn't they drive it? Was it parked in someone's bedroom all these years?

They probably stopped driving it when the Auto-temp 1 quit, which means no heat or a/c.............................. and kept it parked in a cement floor garage with good insulation

I think it's great to see cars priced lower than the stratosphere. I'm not against a seller getting fair money, but I don't think the market is where many of todays listing prices are. Funny how a guy asking $50k for something that isn't, makes the $20k cars seem like basement bargains.

Am I the only one puzzled by the lack of insulation on the inside surface of the hood? Please correct me if I am mistaken, but I thought that underhood insulation was standard on Chrysler 300 2drs?

Other than the extra antenna on the trunk, and the possible rust points under the RHS rear pillar vinyl (see below), the car looks great. A great color combo and interior materials too: Mr. Darryl T. McKenzie, who ordered the car new in New Mexico, chose very well in my book.

Thank you for the link. Turns out that the 300 I remembered was actually a 1969 with "similar" paint and wheels but a white roof that sold at Mecum in Chattanooga two months ago a few months ago and was discussed here. That one sold for $12k + auction fees, which IMHO was a pittance.

I bid on that one. Freight was a deal killer for me. The convertible 300 that went right after it is on eBay now. Wondering if the Coupe will end up there also, or in Europe.

@ayilar, The hood pad would have come with undercoating, code J55. It was optional on 300. This one does not have it. It has most of the other options. The only thing missing seems to be the rear seat heater an defogger, neither of which you would need in New Mexico, of course.
