Welcome, 1964NYKR2DRCANUCK

Join me in welcoming @1964NYKR2DRCANUCK to FCBO.
Hello from Vancouver Canada eh!
I own 2 1964 Chryslers.
My main squeeze is a New Yorker 2 door (Canada only model). "Rare but nobody cares" as Scott from coldwarmotors might say...
It has power windows and buckets and console, with floor shift, but no AC. No "auto pilot" either.
It had a license plate from 1974 when I bought it. And the empty prescription bottle confirms the owner and that date. So it passed the 50 year mark for non-driving last year. Hardly a drop of rust, but boy it needs paint and interior!

I believe there are at least 2 more of you on FCBO here hiding your New Yorker 2 doors. Both in Alberta. That's where I dragged mine home from a couple of years ago (yup, in the height of covid).

I am aware of at least one more 64 New Yorker 2 door in Ontario (Cananda). He has pics at a car show on Flickr.
Another one came up in California. And it was complete and dusty, and it sold in 4 days. I already had mine by then.
And a blue one came up is Calgary in 2024 on Marketplace, that one was complete too.

So that means I am aware of 6 of the 300 that were ever made. Are there more of you out there..?

My other 64 is a very rusty 300 4 door hard top. It is mostly complete, at least for now. I bought it without an engine (or rocker panels...). But it has lots of spares and newer bits than my New Yorker. I actually almost bought that one as a running driver before my New Yorker, but I passed due the rust (and I was really holding out for a 2 door project). Then it popped up again a year after I bought my New Yorker, but it was engine and dash-delete but under 1000 with a good windshield and windshield gasket and extra power windows that all work, and a fresh gas tank... and new brakes... and new tires... and a rebuilt rear end....

So, I am not totally obsessed, but I kinda, really, sorta got into the habit of knowing stuff about these "Lost Generation" cars.

Nothing for sale here. I mostly only buy stuff.
My wife still lives with me too!

Cheers!

greetings from victoria

the car was white originally and supposedly was painted roman red poly when near new.
the interior is red, i think buckets. it has been sitting for quite a few years now and its 413 is going to wind up in a 300 Sport convertible/
yes those are 15" road wheels

Oh, suddenly that picture seems like it might be a bit older than I thought... What's happening to the rest of the New Yorker bits after the 300 gets it's heart transplant?

pictures are from 2019.
i can ask the friend who has it now what the plan is once the motor is pulled

Ok that's cool. It looks rust free and complete. It is a bit hard to believe that someone would want to pull it apart. Was there something wrong with it, or was the 413 date code-destined for a 64 300K or maybe an Imperial Convertible?

the 413 is most likely going into a 62 300 Sport convert.
its not rust free, issues with sills, & wheel openings. not worth the expense to repair it unfortunately
