NOT MINE 1970 Chrysler Newport Convertible - $17,500 - Alma, Arkansas

Thank you for posting! This car has been discussed before, it is CE27L0C106043 so the TNT is not original (see here). Hopefully someone on FB will get the tag to learn more about the color too

Looks like a really nice car, but that continental kit HAS to go! And Twig is definitely an interesting name that I never heard before.

I'm guessing that's his nickname. I could be wrong, but really, Twig Branch? Wooden you know it? I'm surprised he didn't hold out for a sportsgrain model, or at least something with a three on the tree.

I'm not a fan of the birdbath either. Perhaps a hood scoop would balance it out? Just kidding!

Looks like the A/C was added to a non A/C car, generic booster and master cylinder, aftermarket cruise? Rear bumper needs adjustment and to come off to install the valance properly.

Looks like a really solid car. I think if Twig would remove the toilet seat and repaint the trunk lid, it would help alot with the sale.

I agree 100% with the "bird bath" and "toilet seat" references (never heard it called that, that's perfect! )

I really wish more people would put more useful information on their "boomer boards": no one cares who the owner is, list options or something. Also, don't show a picture of the front of the car: that's what everyone gets to see at car shows anyway! A view of the back would be far more useful. And the 1995-website-esque "Cruis'n" means diddly (and " Cruisin' " would have been a better way to write it anyway).

A previous owner of my car had such a board made and it's ridiculously useless; I hide it in the trunk because I'm embarrassed at how lame it is.

"Boomer boards" I have never heard this term before but it sounds funny.

"The successful buyer will receive a complimentary green Las Vegas visor with car upon purchase"

At least they're more useful than the dolls hiding their faces that people lean against their cars. I don't get that at all. Are the dolls crying? Playing hide-and-seek? WTF?

The "crybaby" doll was funny the first time I saw one, but after that, it became really stupid. The best was the guy at one show that had them against his car. Every once in a while, if some spectator made a comment, he'd go over and kick one and yell "get away from my car!".

It goes along with the model car on the air cleaner and the open trunk with trophies in it.

Cars show clichés, haha....

Can't lie, I'd respect the ones in the lower left :). And I always have my folding chair!

We mustn't forget the "I had one just like it!" comment that is almost always followed by "... except it was [insert other colour], had [insert other engine], was a [insert other body style and/or year]." Don't get me wrong, I love it when old guys go down memory lane when looking at one of my cars, but it gets hard to relate when it turns out the car is barely related ^_^.
