Miller sells one it is 30k These things advertised on FB or YouTube are junk.
FWIW, Lincoln, Miller, et al are getting (or going to get) their clocks cleaned in the market.
The technology in the modern IGBT / inverter welders is widespread, every manufacturer has it.
At my last job, we needed to buy some welders to replace worn-out Lincoln TIGs, and we discovered Everlast.
Feature-for-feature, it was about 1/3 the price of 'blue' or 'red', with a decent following/feedback.
The guys loved it, too. And it weighed about prolly 250 lbs less, you could easily move it around.
For laser-cutting machines, the standard used to be CO2. Fiber lasers are now the standard, to where they are cheaper/better/faster than CO2 (not in every instance, of course). 5-6 years ago I got a fiber laser-marking machine at a job, cost was about $25k. A guy could now get a comparable wattage unit, with more capability, for $5000.
With that said, Miller's 30k laser welder doesn't mean a laser welder must cost 30k to be good.
A $5000 laser welder will have its place in some shops and many fab-houses.
