Meet Regina FQ3, a 1970 Polara convertible who turns 51 today

Superb car! What a credit to you for all that time researching and ordering parts! Cudos to Wyatt for his magnificent work. Agree with Wyatt that the engine calls out for paint. But the car also calls out: Drive Me! Well done

    Where to get a windshield?

Yes. Different from sedan and wagon. If you search windshields their is a thread on here that has the part numbers.

    Wrong windshield gasket?

I think that gasket is inside out. Or at a minimum a terrible aftermarket piece. I don't have any experience with aftermarket Chrysler stuff but I have had many GM and the quality variations are off the charts. With poor being more common. If I have a bad window with a good rubber I save and...

    Where to get a windshield?

Sorry it’s a 4 door hardtop, is that the same as a coupe? I did not not know there was difference.

Sharing my latest trial modification for true cold air intake

mostly aesthetics other than not placing the filter itself directly in the path of any incoming rocks & debris going through the grill

    Are these rockers useable?

Sort of on the same topic, my comp cam lifters have the oiling hole on them and the pushrods available off the shelf also have the oiling hole, so the rockers will be oiled via the lifters and the rocker shaft, shouldn’t cause any issues right? More oil to the dome of the lifters can’t be a bad...

    Where to get a windshield?

Pull one out of a parts car. I have been watching for years in my area. No luck yet. I saved one that is less cracked out of a parts car I had. The coupe hard tops are hard to find. I have found a bunch of sedan windshields.

yea I have a conical K&N style filter that mounts in the box like an aftermarket cold air intake

same idea just different filter location. The box was actually very easy for me to make, I didn't have the option you do with the newer style motor and its intake style unfortunately

Sharing my latest trial modification for true cold air intake

I drilled a small hole in the bottom prior to taking to get powder coated for that purpose but where the intake is there shouldn't be much of an issue with that even in a bad downpour

    High performance exhaust manifold coatings??

application and prep is similar to ceramic coating but in my opinion is a more durable coating once cured

cool idea..., curious, is there an advantage to the box rather than routing a tube / tunnel directly to the opening in the rad support?

    Where to get a windshield?

Hi all, I have not posted in a long time. I purchased a 69 Newport Custom Hardtop estate car in 2017 that was saved from the scrapyard by a non car guy neighbor who I bought it from. I’ve stored the car since then and am now starting to get it fired up again. It’s has a HP factory motor and...
