Got my 66 383 block back from the machine shop

If you purchased the rings from your machine shop at the same time you had the machine work, they should have matched your final hone to the proper cross- hatch finish. Best thing to do is call and confirm.

73 Monaco followed me home yesterday.

Here a interesting photo. Look at the trailer rolling stock. They are the spare tires out of other cars. YOU ever buy a car and the spare was missing? Dave was a local racer sponsored by Chrysler. But that doesn't mean he didn't spend his last dime getting to the races, buying gas and...

blacking out the grille often doesn't work as people tend to do the whole thing, but since you left the frames around it chrome(argent?) it almost like it came that way from the factory - it's a nice look for a 2-door hardtop.

73 Monaco followed me home yesterday.

@polara71 Still throwing the red .x huh. Nobody's story or opinions matters but Yours. LOL. Lonely world living all alone like that. Ok so all the wheels stayed with the original car from day one? Never swapped or moved around. Hmmm

    Will this be a problem?

Yes put it on, use black silicone on the ends. Doubt you can get to it with box bolted up. Now unbolt the box and remove the coolant hoses to move it off the firewall to access it. Leave the cables on. But a box or blocks of wood under the heater box so it doesn't fall to the floor.

    Another Disc brake question.

Really don't know...this is the booster in question....it was on the car when I bought it 24 years ago...I just replaced the master with a 71 disc one and did the later discs...

    Cam selection for a 66 383

'67 and down used a different lifter and a push rod to match. The push rods are smaller on one end. Last I knew, the early lifters aren't readily available, so it's a moot point. The later lifters will work as long as you use the correct, later push rods.

Got my 66 383 block back from the machine shop

If the front cam bearing bothers you, it will bother you. Is it bad enough to take back for a fix? Probably not. You'd have to buy another set of cam bearings as that's the way they are usually sold, possibly. As long as normal pressure gets to that hole, LUBE will happen in sufficient...

Got my 66 383 block back from the machine shop

IMHO, the hole offset won't hurt a thing. If it bothers you, you can open it up a couple ways, but you need to be careful and chances of things going sideways outweighs any possible gain.

2024 Mopars In The Park, Stillwater, MN May 31st-June 2 2024.

I have no idea why the change. But if reading the Facebook comments is any indication, it's what the people wanted. And that goes for the return of Daisy Duke on Saturday. Washington county fairgrounds seemed like a nice venue. I made it once and didn't get to see it all. Only been to the...

Heater fan doesn't work - 1971 Plymouth Fury III

If the blower motor resistor was flaky, there would be evidence of that on the resistor assy and its connectors. As to "heat colors" or broken resistor wires. CBODY67
