The hot glue is a genius idea just to locate the cables whilst assembling the plug. Frustratingly those terminals arent available in the UK and price wise the postage is crippling.- IronMighty

Bastardized 1959 "Coronet" build

Headlight motor
Often, the doors will open but not close if there's a bad bulb. Yea, sounds funny, but the ground for the relay flows through the bulb filaments. Same thing if you have some odd LED lights or a headlight relay system. No ground return through them.- Big_John

There's a thread in here of such a swap in a '66 Newport, engine and trans. I think a trans controllers is now available separately?
