C pillars repaired. Rain gutters are going to stay and get extended onto the Corvette Targa top. Lexan goes in tomorrow (assuming I can cut it without screwing it up LOL)... Rear "glass" trim will go back on. I REALLY like it! Top and bottom trim. no problem... Side/upper corner, problem as...

Working on the rear window. Welded the 2 panel halves together. Back on the car. I still need to decide rain gutters or not... I think I'll cut one off the remaining roof and mock it up onto the Corvette Targa top to help decide. That will dictate how I repair the rot on the current C pillars. I...

We did not, but we just googled it and we certainly should!! There's a cars and coffee Sunday November 10th, 8am-11 on Capital St in Concord we plan to attend weather permitting... we'd probably arrive about 9:30 or so...

A pricey day for Boris yesterday.. 2 new tires on the front now that it appears the 225 experiment was successful. When my guy was balancing the second one he says "this rim is bent".. It was bent alright, even I could easily see it. OK, 150 bucks at a local rim repair place. ouch.. Then stop by...

Got brave enough to cut the side metal... Pretty happy with the results. That's where the roof will be!

Wouldn't the lit edge plexiglass be akin to undercar neon? LOL! Some good news today... Turns out I didn't need to spend thousands of dollars on fancy, shcmancy coilovers or air bag systems to address the tire rubbing the fenders issue. Seems C5 Corvettes have adjustable mono spring systems. A...

I think I mentioned an early 60s Imperial stainless targa band to hide the seam. I hadn't thought about it disguising the bump. That's brilliant.. Can someone ID the car above? The bump is almost gone with a little more tweaking. Now I have to get brave enough to cut the roof along the former...

I have thought about that on occasion when I see these Exner beauties lowered all the way around. I'd have to mess with the stock Corvette suspension to lower it. Maybe air bags some day?? In the meantime, I did put ridiculous rake on the car on purpose.

I sliced the real roof panel down the middle then cut it to fit the new shorter side-to-side dimension. That went pretty well. Then I placed it where the tinfoil had been and guess what... Yup, a damn bump.... Back to the drawing board...

Gently, LOL... I do not have the 59 rear glass, uh well, I did have it until I knocked it off the roof and found out exactly how many Ziplocks a 1959 Coronet rear glass fits into. None of the typical rear glass chop methods will work here. Not only is it chopped 2 inches, but the B and C...

Ok, 2 inch chop instead of 4. More "glass". A huge improvement IMHO. Still a little goofy with the targa top removed, but I can live with that... Sorry Chuck...

He most assuredly would.. Prolly use the 59 windshield and cut the roof off another car. I'll try to expose some more blue tape "glass" today...

I like your thinking. Trouble is that the targa top slopes down towards the rear of the car. I'd have to reconfigure the targa, halo bar and 59 roof to get the rear window standing up more. I like your finger painted dimensions, but I don't think I can make it work without major re-work or...

I was kind of thinking the same thing. More glass.. I'll try moving the top edge of the glass opening up today. I'm afraid I'll quickly run into the 59 roofline going back up where the 1998 roofline is headed down. I agree that the side view lines are pretty good, the curve is fairly constant...
