    Modern radio

I found an old Craig under dash cassette player which I can stick a Bluetooth cassette adapter into. I feed this to a modest 100W Pioneer amp with 8 ohm, not 4 ohm impedance, so I can use 8 ohm speakers. This conforms to 1970s stereo sound anyway, w the pair of 6x9 Kenwood triaxial speakers I...

    Just had to buy it.

Glad to see someone here bought it. It's an unusually-configured car for sure. I still like the Sport Fury the same seller has, but the rust is a dealbreaker for me. I can't swing a dead cat at my house without hitting a project car, so the only attraction on the SF is that it's ~100 miles...

    318 or 360, 727 or 904

The 360-4 intakes, which they used on 318 4-barrels (which used 360 heads), all have larger ports into the heads. I don't recall any small-runner LA318-4 intakes except for the Streetmaster (Holley?). All the later OEM 318 4-V intakes were configured for a spreadbore (Thermoquad and then...

Another Dark Green 70 Polara, But a Nice One Again..................

A very nice looking car that would look even better with the hood and truck shut. At cruise nights if someone wants to look under the hood I'm happy to accommodate them.

Why are magnum center caps so long? (they don't need to be)

Ford used short centers on their Magnun wheels. I have a some I can photo

    AC/Heater Duct

Getting some other things done with the instrument panel disassembled is a very good idea. Duct hose tubing? Are the ends of the hoses just cut or do they have a snap-together at the end band clamp for a finished end? If they have the snaps, they were sold in dedicated lengths, IIRC. The...

Why are magnum center caps so long? (they don't need to be)

You'll have to consult with Chrysler and/or Motor Wheel Corp. MWC built the wheels for Chrysler, Ford, and their own aftermarket distribution networks. At this point in time, finding ANYBODY at those places who was around back then is highly unlikely. Enjoy! CBODY67

Exploded view of the Budd disc brakes caliper on my 1967 Chrysler New Yorker.

Why are magnum center caps so long? (they don't need to be)

That's the question. Why are the center caps so long when they don't need to be? I think the wheels would look a lot better if the center caps were half or even a third the length. I'm going to have some examples 3-D printed and see how they'd look. I finally have mounted a pair of...

Motor Mounts and Transmission Mount - '78 New Yorker Brougham 4-Door with 440

RockAuto.com has the inserts so I assume others will too without going to a specialty house.

What are you working on today??

Installed the Turn Off-road hardtop on ‘Lucy’, our 2021 Ford Bronco. Rear window with wiper and rear defroster is coming. I already have all of the parts to tie in the wiper and defroster. Early 2021 Broncos didn’t come with the hardtop or the internals to support it. A gent on the Bronco 6G...

I have a 1966 fury ...I can NOT move the steering wheel

Does the shaft in the steering column turn at all? Is the shaft frozen in the steering column?

What are you working on today??

Rear brakes on the 72 New Yorker. More often than not the new drums that are shipped are oval right out of the box. You might not feel it when you drive, but the brake micrometer tells the story. I think a little bump in the shipping is all it takes. The only place in town to have them machined...

Motor Mounts and Transmission Mount - '78 New Yorker Brougham 4-Door with 440

try Anchor Industries. anchor-online.com They list your trans mount as an assembly, and the engine mounts but only the inserts. I don't know how your car is put together. I sold this brand at Advance Auto, had real good luck with them.

Build Card received from Stellantis today :)

The "V" prefixed car is my '65 Barracuda Formula S. I have a copy of the Monroney price sticker, but the dealer name is different, but still California. I will dig it out tomorrow and if I can take a good enough pic of it, I'll post it.

    AC/Heater Duct

My son is about to start the process of replacing the dash wiring harness in his '66 Imperial. I recommended that he do some preventative maintenance while the dash is out. Heater core and Evaporator core pressure test just to be sure. We have been discussing replacing the duct work. Are there...

Build Card received from Stellantis today :)

Just came across this thread by chance as I had an idea to request a card for my '71. Well, I guess those don't exist per the messages above so I won't bother...unless the file cabinet for fuselage - era cards has been located. @Big_John , what car is the one starting with "V" above? That...
