New guy recently purchased a 66 Newport 2 Door hardtop, looking for a few good parts sources.

OOOOH, this is my problem . . . it was working when it was out of the dash and when I screwed it back in it stopped working with the switch. Now I know why! Thank you! Gonna pull it out and re-swedge it and cross my fingers.

Toyota washer bottle in a 67 Fury

Could be a locally made version as we had Chrysler Valiants sold down here, wouldn't be surprised if they used some bits from those cars. Definitely not a Leece-Neville, that thing is almost as big as my head. Maybe another aussie lurking this forum can chime in. Useless trivia time: Canadian...

How hard can it be...68 sport fury

So VIP is the only one with the flat/brushed inserts? I bought a set of loose taillight housings some years ago and they were a mix of brushed and ribbed. Planned on peeling the brushed part off. Might need to rethink that...

Fixed it for you. Great work!!!!! You absolutely better bring this car on the next CATL drive. NW Indiana is central to those trips. (@ayilar - put him on the list) Coincidentally, the 440 in my avatar car came out of a 69 NY with those exact seats, in the same color. (It was quite rusty...

Toyota washer bottle in a 67 Fury

That one is not a US-type Chrysler alternator, all of them have an internal fan. There was a Leece-Neville used on police cars, but it's pretty large. I'm curious what yours is, but don't spend a lot of time photo'ing it for me.

First, beautiful car and great job on the work! Next, thank you for not only saving it, but completing the work to such a high degree.

Oh. If your map light comes on when you open the door but not when you flip the map light switch, I know the reason. The circuit board is swedged into the chromed metal housing. There is an exposed copper pad on one edge of the circuit board that's supposed to contact the housing and ground-out...
