    Agreed, do NOT bend the thick metal, bend the rod going to the lever instead. At the two bends, the upper one is probably the best place to do it. Use a pair of pliers and a gentle twist of the wrist to do it. Just enough to get to the spec. The rod is of somewhat soft metal, so a little...
