    Finding you cars history

US-built cars through 1967 have the build cards available for free through Chrysler Historical. They will also tell you the original selling dealer. Here's a link with the form and instructions: www.desoto.org/historical

WANTED 1967 Newport Fasttop Rear Glass Interior upper Trim

I also likely have some from a '68, but it sounds like @Rainy Day has you taken care of there.

    1966 Fury Transmission ID

For additional context on the 727s, you'll find two sets of numbers on the driver's side of the housing, just above the pan. One is the part number. On the pre-1968 transmissions, there is a second 7-digit number and that is NOT a date code as you'll find many people stating. Date coding, an...

Canadian 1960 Forward Look cars. The differences from the US cars.

Canadian '60 DeSotos used the Chrysler interior. At the National DeSoto Club convention in Chatham, Ontario last year, we got to see a number of Canadian DeSotos (quite a few '60s included) alongside their US counterparts and compare differences. On the '59, Canada filled in some of the rear...

Please where can I find this

www.cbodies.com - call or email as the website is not all of his inventory.

Two Spinnaker Whites - Don't Match!

This was the case with the popular B5 blue on the muscle cars as well. I believe there were three different shades of it between the late '60s and early '70s, all called B5. My dad's '71 Roadrunner in B5 is not the same as a '70 in B5.

    727 identification (stamping numbers)

Agreed - this is what I found: '67 B&C-body 318 & '68 C-body 318 The other number is a 7-digit sequence/serial number that they started in '62 and counted up until '68 when they switched to a date coding 8-digit system, of which the first four digit number was a 10,000 day calendar date. Yours...

WANTED 1965 300l POWER STEERING PUMP

I agree with having yours rebuilt if you have it. Lares Corporation in Minnesota is another place to have that done. If you do have yours and are set on finding another, a photo and pully diameter would be helpful to ensure a match. I'd try Murray Park for getting another: www.cbodies.com

    8th Annual C Body Show - June 22nd

Another thank you to @sixpkrt ! I was disappointed to not have the Fury quite ready in time, but I enjoyed the show as always!

Pulling rear drum on my 57 Belvedere, which one?

Those tapered axles are literally no problem whatsoever with the proper puller. The Fairbanks puller makes the job as simple as bolting it on, snugging the studs and the drum pops off - even on a parts car. It's people trying to use the wrong puller or beating on it with a hammer that gives the...

    For Sale New old stock replacement brake shoes. 11 x 2” rears, $50. 11 x 2.75 Fronts, $60.

When you say set, I assume that's 4 shoes/set, enough to do both sides of the car? I just want to make sure I'm reading that correctly that you have 8 rear shoes and 4 front shoes.

Pulling rear drum on my 57 Belvedere, which one?

    I second the Fairbanks puller.

    8th Annual C Body Show - June 22nd

My experience with the Vintage Transport Extravaganza show in August was that they make you drive all the way down to the other end and then come back around, so that was why I asked. If it's a short distance, then it should be no problem.

    8th Annual C Body Show - June 22nd

As of today, the '66 Fury is running! I won't have a booster or brakes but am still considering trailering it down. @sixpkrt could you ask your IRM contact if I could drive the truck and trailer inside and unload it there and then do the same to load it later? I'd rather not have to drive all...

    8th Annual C Body Show - June 22nd

If the parking brake was like my DeSotos (a hand brake that is easy to control), I'd drive the car on and off the show field using that. Unfortunately, the ratcheting foot pedal is harder to control and I don't need to risk hitting something in the process.

    8th Annual C Body Show - June 22nd

Well, it's not looking too promising for the Fury. It's not for lack of trying - I busted my butt even with working full-time and it's basically all done as of this weekend: motor and related components installed, driveshaft installed, brakes/hoses all done, checked the parking brake, front hubs...
