    The Formal Photo Thread

I don't know why, but Formal Plymouths and Dodges are far more rare than Chryslers/ Imperials. Especially wagons...Town and Country wagons seem "easy" to find compared to a Monaco/ RMB wagons or Sport Suburbans.

    Fuse problem

I take it you are missing the owner's manual? If you have one, look at pg 60 in it. From the 1975 Chrysler owners manual pg 60: Fuse 3- 20 Amp: Time delay for Ignition Switch, Light and Wiper, Headlight title lights, Hazard Flasher, Stop lights, Trunk Light, Glove Box light, Key in and...

    Autotemp 2 .help needed

Yes, it is missing on your car. The Auto Temp will not function correctly and control temperature properly without it. It should hang off the passenger side strut and both heater hoses and 3 vacuum lines go to it. I think they messed it up during the propane conversion because the "soup" can...

WANTED Wanted 1977 new yorker grille and 1977 1978 trim pieces.

Couple things...78 NYB had a one year only grille, so the 77 is not the same but will fit. I do not have a grille handy. I have tan door pulls and sun visors. That's about all the interior stuff I have as it takes up a lot of space.

Wheel trim ring question, 69 Polara

Not sure exactly what you are trying to say, but possibly incorrect regarding the 15x7 W23 road wheel. They were available on M bodies 78 to 1981, not "one year only". Sadly, I cannot verify this beyond 79 with brochure images, as they were pushing the aluminum rims after 79, but I do at least...

1978 Chrysler makes hiss sound and brakes seem soft when applying brakes

First off, apologies for the pics from under the dash of my 78 NYB...I'm not a flexible as I used to be. Start the car and stick your head under the dash and locate the source. Look in the following 3 places: Your NYB has a feature that automatically releases the parking brake when you move...

    Oh my...I did it again.

For us factory markings nerds...Some pictures of the markings I have found that make me think this car is low miles: Under hood black grease pencil or marker? Now I've had cars that have had markings like this survive up to 100k plus. Note the late big block heat shields to help prevent the...

    Oh my...I did it again.

Update- been daily driving this car and loving it. Big smiles driving around town. Upon further inspection, I believe this car is a low miles original (86000 kms). It still has factory markings under hood and in the door jambs.

NOT MINE No Reserve 1978 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham Coupe 440 on BAT

Okay! 74/75 Imperial side markers on an NYB...I can understand why...because they are among the most pretty marker lights ever made, but it's just so "off"... 75-77 Grille on a 78, but they didn't go the extra mile of swapping the bumper vent inserts. Again looks "off".

For Sale 74-78 (?) NYB or Imperial taillight stuff - free for shipping cost

Those are 78 NYB only...you can tell by the centre chrome rib. Every other year 74-77 Imperial and NYB only had the chrome outer ring.

For Sale 1968 chrysler imperial convertible parting out!

Simply tragic...there are so many super rare parts there. Are the plastic trims still of the bottom of the seats?

    Oh my...I did it again.

We are operational again! Went to a Mopar buddies yard and pulled the switch from this 78 NYB: Details for those interested...no rad support, so no data tag.

    Oh my...I did it again.

Disaster!!! Went for a cruise and smelled burning electrical smell and smoke came pouring out of the column. Fried turn signal switch. Great.
