    Moroso 7qt in a '65?

Anyone using a Moroso 7qt pan (20760)? Does it fit well? Any fitment issues? I'm thinking of using it in a 1965 New Yorker as long as there isn't going to be any problems.

    Intake Manifold Options

Looks like the Eddy Torker II (4.670") is a little shorter than the Holley Strip Dominator (5.190"). Any reason to pick one over the other? What rear gear are you running?

    Intake Manifold Options

I don't think a single plane will make much of a difference on an engine that is 493 ci. It might shift the torque curve up a little, but it will have so much low end torque to begin with.

    Intake Manifold Options

I am building a stroked 440 for a 1965 New Yorker. I'm trying to figure out what intake manifolds will fit under the stock hood with a factory type dual snorkel air cleaner setup? Would a Eddy Performer RPM be too tall? Other options dual plane or single plane? Thanks,

C-body and D series trucks suspension parts Interchange?

I think the suspension parts are the same from 1972-93 for the D-series trucks. Of course all of the tubular upper control arms that are made for C-bodies are up to 1973. 1974-up C-bodies have the bigger (truck size) upper ball joint?? I'll have to see if I can remove the smaller ball joint...

C-body and D series trucks suspension parts Interchange?

The upper control arm bushings had the same part numbers, but it looks like the upper ball joints have different part numbers. Have to check to see what is different between the 2 ball joints is. As long as the upper control arm has the same distance between the bushings; the distance between...

C-body and D series trucks suspension parts Interchange?

I just happen to be finishing up my '85 D-150 and tearing apart my Dad's '65 New Yorker. The upper control arms look very similar. I haven't had a chance to take measurments yet. But does anyone know if parts like upper control arms, spindles, etc intercange? I know lower control arms won't...

1965 New Yorker Air Cleaner to Hood Clearance

I'm wondering now if the regular Edelbrock Performer Intake manifold would work. You have a decent amount of cubic inches you need to feed with that 505 stroker, I'm just trying to feed a 440. Edelbrock Performer Intake Manifolds 2191

1965 New Yorker Air Cleaner to Hood Clearance

Yea I know what you mean, not the nicest looking manifold out there in stock form. I don't really like the lump of metal on the back either for the EGR or the boss on the side of the manifold for the mechanical choke spring. Probably could mill all of that off and save a couple pounds.

1965 New Yorker Air Cleaner to Hood Clearance

I was looking at the Edelbrock Torker II or the Holley Street Dominator both are about 1.375" taller than stock.

1965 New Yorker Air Cleaner to Hood Clearance

I would do that, but engine and the front sub-frame along with all of the sheet metal isn't on the car anymore. Thats why I asked for someone who has done the aluminum ball trick what they came up with for the hood clearance.

1965 New Yorker Air Cleaner to Hood Clearance

I didn't think of doing this before disassembling the car. We are replacing the 413 that is in the New Yorker with a built 440 goal is for 500hp an 500tq. I know there wasn't much space between the hood and air cleaner stock, does anyone know approximately how much that is? Thanks,

    WANTED Power Steering Cooler

I'll be using it on my 1957 DeSoto. I had seen a couple people recommend them for these cars. I wanted something that would look correct, and I think a cooler from a 1965ish would look the part. Most people wouldn't know whats correct on these cars anyways, most people don't know what a...

1965 New Yorker Hardtop rear window gasket

We are starting the restoration of our 1965 Chrysler New Yorker. Car has been garaged most of its life and doesn't have much rust. But we are taking it all apart to do a color change. I noticed that there are a lot of parts that are hard to come by for the C-bodies and wanted to make sure I...

Bendix Style Dual Diaphragm Booster for Mopars In the link they want you to select between A-body, '66-'70 B-body, '71-'74 B-body, and E-body. Is there a difference between them or will one of those be close enough for a '65 C-body? Magnum Force sells the Wilwood kit and they give the option...
