I have a 1966 fury ...I can NOT move the steering wheel

Is oil pan sitting on drag link? Some oil pans are deeper. Are steering links all properly mounted and not “upside down”? Does it have correct engine mounts? Or damaged engine mounts?

For Sale 64 chrysler 300 project

Thank you. One more question…can you take pics of the quarter panels from the trunk, looking down the trunk extensions. I’m curious about the condition of the bottoms of the q-panels.

For Sale 64 chrysler 300 project

Is this your car? I see on fb it says ‘listed 22 weeks ago’. That drivers side floor will take some work because the accelerator pedal sits on a built up section, and any pans you buy have to be altered from b-body stock. I rebuilt the floor on my own 300. Is there anything special (fender tag?)...

    Stalls in gear:

Has anyone tightened the bolts holding the carb to the manifold? It’s very easy to warp/crack the carb by over tightening those bolts. To check for this have someone sit in the car with his foot on the brakes. Then you spray foam cleaner at the base of the carb. Have assistant put car in gear...

    AC/Heater box rebuild

Thanks. That’s the conclusion I’d come to. I just wondered if someone had a better idea

    AC/Heater box rebuild

So I’m cleaning up the ac/heater box on my ‘64 300K. It appears, no one has a rebuild kit for this year C body. Do I have to buy sheet rubber material and make my own gasket and grommet pieces? Any ideas ?

    Paint

thanks to Wile E CYoyote,4, Mr Moparchp, detmatt, and CBODY. When I painted my daughter’s car GM had two names for white. The clerk who mixed it had both names for the same color and asked me what my old parts had on them. So I assumed there’d be some confusion when I went for my paint. My...

    Paint

So here’s my ‘64 (hopefully, the color is true). My problem: when I look up the paint, different sites call this code different colors. Some call it “Dune Beige”. Some call it “Sable Tan Poly”. Does anyone know a reliable paint source? Thanks in advance

    1962 Exhaust Systems

don’t trust pictures. If there’s a “check if this fits” button click it. if it fits all models it sounds like you’re going to have to cut it somewhere if your car is not a 4door. what does ‘aluminized’ mean? If you have to weld anything do you want to work with aluminum? Just my thoughts…

    Caliper not releasing

I agree. But, if an aftermarket adaptation has been made such as was done on our tow truck….

    Body putty?

    Thank you

    Body putty?

I’ve got my ‘64 K completely disassembled and I’m almost finished welding in patches. When they built the car they ran body putty along all the seams…even the seams that weren’t tight. I’ve found a couple spots where, if not for the putty, the car would have leaked. So should I just re-putty the...

    Caliper not releasing

This may sound like a dumb question. But, does it matter whether the engine is running? I’ll explain…many years ago I drove a tow truck for a living. So one of our drivers thought that recovery operations would go better if we could remotely lock up all 4 brakes. He installed it on one of our...

New guy needing sheetmetal help on a 62 Chrysler 300

BTW Desert Valley had several 4 door Chryslers. They offered to remove and cut into quarters for shipping if I wanted one. But the interiors were still in, mine is a two door, and I didn’t have time to wait for a look see at their conditions. I did get some good fenders and a hood.

New guy needing sheetmetal help on a 62 Chrysler 300

So here’s pics of my driver’s side floor with the raised section where the accelerator pedal attaches. I used c2c pans and modified them. The raised flat piece is just a ground I welded in and will remove once I’m finished.

New guy needing sheetmetal help on a 62 Chrysler 300

I believe that 60-64 c bodies all use the same floor pans for the front. Last time I was at Desert Valley Auto Parts in Phoenix they had several 63&64 Chryslers. The point where the accelerator pedal bolts to the floor is a raised spot that allows the linkage to come up under the car from the...

1966 New Yorker low oil pressure question

15w40? Seems too heavy. Thick oil sounds like a good thing to do. But, if the pump can’t pump it…I’d go 10w30
