I had a look in the corners of the trunk today and noted that the corners have both got plates over the top of the extensions. Is this factory or did someone plate these areas before and do a rough job of it ?

I want to strip off all the chrome on some cast parts from my car and am wondering if Chrysler used a plating process using copper or something similar as a base first on the alloy piece? I need to know this before working out what acid to use. I don't want to end up with a lump of sludge.

Would the front lenses for the turn signal indicators out of a 1972 Chrysler Newport Custom fit the bumper bar of a 1968 Dodge Monaco? They look pretty close, anybody have a definitive answer?
