    P225/75R14 Tires

Yes, the 15" Magnum 500s or similar VN501s solve problems. Getting into the 15" tire sizes AND not having to worry about a suitable wheel cover for the car. It's getting to be "sale time", so watch the sales at Summit Racing, Jeg's, or similar. Happy Holidays, CBODY67

    Trans fluid .

I did use Valvoline... One of my cars the tranny was rebuilt before I bought it and it seemed to shift firmer than expected and assumed maybe there was Type F. Definitely shifts softened now with Dex III but never heard of the Citgo.. The other trans is original 120K so I will just stick with...

    P225/75R14 Tires

In bias-ply tires, if they were 4-ply tires, the entire tire was 4-ply, not just the tread. There were 2-ply tires in the earlier 1960s in rayon cord, that were 4-ply rated (with larger-diameter cords) that rode smoother and didn't last as long as the better 4-ply nylon cord tires did. When...

    P225/75R14 Tires

As a 68 Newport owner, ditch the 14's and go 15's 23570R15 or 22575R15 will make you happy. Magnum 500's also look snazzy on these slabs..

My car is in an upcoming movie

No damage to the car?, a lot can go wrong leasing cars out to movie studios. Someone posted on fb about their '66 Polara which was used for a movie recently, it's now in a shop getting repainted due to damage during filming.

Grace's American cousin! Lol! His production gumbers are for the U.S. cars and not including the Canadian cars.

Did the 69 Polara ever come with 14" wheels?

The size I quoted was the O.E. size on the tire placard on the drivers door jam. Sorry no pics from me but google may have pics!! 15x6 may have been the heavy duty rims used on wagons, fleet vehicles and the 1969 A12 six pack cars. They will not look any diffrrent, but the tire size can change...

    Factory 4-Speed-C-Body-Photo-Thread

Yeah I know Scott, the air cleaner is definitely wrong and at least for a ‘72 and up. But I love the silver with the blue too. The car wasn’t talked about in an actual post, the pictures are just in a post called “random picture thread” over there. Here is the link though, its on page 4415 post...

Where was this Mopar Brochure/Ad Photo shot?

I'll close this one out, the next ones should be open to more people. At first glance the buildings look the same but it didn’t take long for the differences to stand out. Chimney locations, lack of dormers and overall roof shape. So was the building modified or is this a different building...

I don't think the "replacement" of the GT was an improvement.

    P225/75R14 Tires

Actually, they had tires like that back then. While radials weren't in use much in the USA, there was bias ply tires that were available for trailers and trucks with more plies. Not unusual to get 6 or 8 ply tires used even on pick ups. Usually the car tires were 4 ply, then went to a 2 ply...

    1968 Dodge Monaco

I like these cars. I obtained one from a buddy that was a rusted out mess and also caught on fire. I parted it for the drivetrain and sold off everything else worthy. Then scrapped the shell.

Intermittent Heat Help -1965 Imperial Crown

Check that the hoses are routed properly regarding water flow direction. I think the problem might be cause because the water is flowing through the water valve in the wrong direction. The cooling section in your service manual should show the flow direction in the hoses and which one hooks up...

Voyager 1 and 2 still alive!!!! 38,000 mph!

Alleged (seems true) SpaceX can build a Raptor rocket engine every 24 hours. Like most everything outta this company, a lotta talk about a person. The parts about the guy is less interesting to me than the incredible achievements of brilliant technical people who dreamed this up and are...

    P225/75R14 Tires

I'm guessing that if the car makers had available to them in the 60's the stronger side-walls of today's 14 inch trailer tires they would have jumped at them. They were desperately seeking those layers of heavy-duty plys back in the day. The torsion bars easily absorb what the tires can't.
