Wheels for 64 Imperial - Concept

Even though they are cheap, as in you have them, I would not use those rims. Rims and tires can make or break the way a car looks. The Imperial you have is a nice-looking car and needs the right wheels. I also am not a fan of fat whitewalls on cars that came with the thinner whitewalls. I think...

    NOT MINE 1957 Dodge Lancer - "Third owner" - Two-tone, 2-door Hardtop - Noxen, PA $19,500.00

That's a poly motor. Nice car, it wouldn't be too much work to correct what needs to be done. I restored a steering wheel in a 57 Plymouth that was about as bad as that. The price does not seem that bad for what it is.

    NOT MINE 1971 Chrysler 300 $7,500

I agree about the roof. It looks a little scary.

NOT MINE side pipes on a slabby

I have no problem with modified cars. In this case, if it was mine, I would lose those side pipes and go back to the factory shifter. That's a classy car in my opinion and those parts take away from it. "Different strokes for different folks".

    Plymouth 383ci Big Block question

I would take your heads to your machine shop and let them look at it. I had the heads on one of our cars done about 3 years ago. It was a 318 with 118,000 miles on it. They did not need much, and the price was under $400. The car now runs like a top. If your heads are stock and are not cracked...

    Are all floors the same?

If it was my car, I would want to replace the floor pans too. It looks like a nice car. The floors actually are not as bad as a lot of converts I've seen. It is too bad that no one makes better repair panels. My 57 has good floor pans but over the years I've had several that did not. The panels...

Firm Feel Update. Its Installed! (mostly)

I had Firm Feel redo the steering box on my 57 Plymouth. Made a big difference. I would also recommend them.

The Big Bluebowski - 1971 Polara

I have used quite a few aluminum radiators over the years, and I have never had any problems. Aluminum is much softer than steel and it is easy to over tighten and strip the fittings. If the original works, then that is the best way to go.

NOT MINE Someone needs to save this 1958 Fury

The "Christine" thing is played out. The book is better than the movie. I've had people ask me about converting my 57 into a Christine. As someone who has had a 57 Plymouth since 1964, and many other 57 and 58 Plymouths, I would say that red (which this color is not factory) was not particularly...

How to remove odor from the steering wheel of a 67 Fury?

I had one on a 1957 Plymouth 4 door hardtop that had some cracks and that smell. to me it smelled like vomit. I sanded the wheel down and filled in the cracks. After sanding it most of the smell was gone. I primed it and painted it with epoxy enamel. I had the car as a daily driver for almost 10...

NOT MINE Someone needs to save this 1958 Fury

I own a 1957. These cars have very basic wiring. I can't believe that car could not be saved. You can reach most inner panels too. It all would depend on the price it can be purchased for.

Question on transmission lines and fluids

What about buying some pre bent lines with fittings in place and replacing them yourself. I know that they make them for the early seventies Mopar C bodies and maybe they would work on yours. I repaired the lines on a daily driver 57 Plymouth Belvedere with transmission cooler line and hose...

    1958 Dodge Custom Royal

That resistor has seen better days. Even if you got it to run with that one, I would not trust it.

    Differential gear change?

You can figure what ratio you have by turning the rear wheel and counting the rotation of the driveshaft.
