    best carburetor

So, my 70 Sport Fury has a 69 440 in it right now. I'm running an Edelbrock on it, and I hate it. It is impossible to start. The air cleaner doesn't fit well on it. I am ready to get rid of it. As such, can anyone recommend what carb I should go with? Appreciate the input.

Hemi 345 or 392 crate engine

Has anyone tried to drop one of these into our C-bodies? Curious as to how much fab work would be required. Mopar Performance 345 Crate HEMI V8 Engine 5.7L Eagle Gen III - 68303088AC | Mopar Online Parts

    advice on a sure grip

So, I'm starting to do some research on adding a sure grip to my 70 Sport Fury. I wanted to get some suggestions on what I should do. Car currently has 8 3/4 open with 2.76 gears in it. 1) Should I buy one already built/put together in a case? I believe I need a 489 case, no?; OR 2) Should...

    valve covers on wrong side?

OK, call me crazy but I think the previous owner put these valve covers on the wrong sides? Trying to put on my dual snorkel air cleaner I just refinished and the routing of hoses seems all wrong. The vacuum to the carb seems to be weird too. If they were on the other side, everything would...

    aftermarket temperature sending unit/gauge

OK, I have a couple of stupid questions. Car in question: 70 Sport Fury w/ a 69 440 engine in it. I'm currently in the process of restoring my interior. Part of that is removing the crappy Summit temp and oil gauges stuck at the bottom of the dash. Oil gauge has been removed/uninstalled...

removing aftermarket oil pressure gauge - question

This is probably a stupid question but I wanted to ask to make sure. I am removing the aftermarket oil pressure gauge currently in my car. My question is about where the line/pressure fitting is inserted in my block. Once I remove it from the block, does a bolt just go in its place, or was...

    new carb for a 440...recommondations

Well, I think it's time for a new carb for my Sport Fury. While a '70, it has a '69 440 in it. All stock (aside from the carb itself, I believe). The carb currently on there actually runs pretty well. However, there's no choke linkage installed and it's getting really difficult to get the...
