Thanks for your input Gerald. I visited the first meeting this year with the New Yorker. Some guy told me the shroud was missing, the car would probably run hot this summer. Good to know it survived it´s whole life without one.

Since a mirror gasket could not be found, I made one out of rubber. It will have to do for now.

Well looks like I celebrated too soon. Installed the motor, ran fine up and down about 5 times, then stopped. The regulator mechanism is clean and greased, window runs fine by hand. Got the motor out, runs for about 12 seconds, then stopped. I guess this motor might be too old and tired (like...
