He means that the centres you had replated are available new (through the reproduction parts industry). It's a moot point now, since you've had those parts replated.
Thanks for that information, has any one had any experience with Cosmichrome? Watched some videos on it, looks like pretty good for chrome stuff inside the car. I think they have an outlet here in British Columbia. CamShaft
I can take a picture of my 68 Polara lighter. In a few hours. Should be the same. I can check the Part number to see if all 68’s were the same or if there were any brand specific details.
This seller gives you files in all the scales. 1/43 -1/8. 1/8 would be pretty freaking big. Some don't but they can sometimes be scaled when you set it up.

Man. Those pockets look very useful. Been thinking of getting sheepskin covers for mine; the summer sun here is absolutely brutal and will mean every single surface will be like lava and sheepskin always seems to stay cool in summer and warm in winter.

The Jefferson plant did have their own coding protocols as to what was, and how it was, coded on the tag compared to other plants. The car in question was a 69 Chrysler from the Jefferson plant.
Deleting rear bumper guards might be considered an action that could fall under general tag coding...
