The water pump has been resealed, the thermostat was replaced, the housing, cleaned and painted and the heater hose nipples were cracked loose.

There was another car in this exact combination for sale in Vermont. That car had been repainted and had the vinyl top removed. I wish I had saved pics on it. The seller wanted $5500 IIRC

Oil, power steering fluid and gear lube has been ordered, also more parts from Vans Auto. The heater hose nipples will need some persuasion to leave their home for the past 50 years.

In my experience the frame is made in a set position and the glass can only be slid back and forth in the channel of the lower pivot. You may be able to bend the lower pivot in the frame by using the glass and channel to bend it, but that’s about it. That’s my experience others may know more...

The new oil filter is on, I am waiting for payday to order my oil and get a crush washer for the oil pan.

So parts laid out. I got the new master cylinder on, I got the old fuel line and fuel filter out. Waiting for the fuel pumps and trying to find my Corbin clamp pliers to start the heater hose nipple replacement.

Two fuel pumps ordered since quality on them is so bad.

The last part on my first round of new parts showed up. More to come next pay day.

The next round of parts has been ordered. I am now waiting for the weather to stabilize.

A few of the small parts that need to go on the car. I will be ordering more parts on payday in a week. Tonight after work I got the left hand rear brake line fabricated, I got the right rear shock absorber replaced.

If there are any I have never seen them. I am not aware.

So the car sat all winter and I need to dig into a few issues popped up: • Rear brakes loose fluid regularly • Coolant leaks at water pump and heater hoses • Rear brakes are noisy • Steering gear worn and leaking • A/C compressor has no power • Cruise control stopped working • Oil pressure...

I may end up trying to do it with a basket case that someone wants to derby. It would have to so far gone that the original color combination wouldn’t matter.

I have no idea, hopefully it finds a good home. I’m looking for my unicorn 72 in black with a gold top and a gold interior.
