It wouldn't have been a problem until some members started talking about buying the parts off the car and the OP encouraged that discussion. You guys need to learn sometimes these things are a gray area and we have to make judgement calls not just about where the thread is but where its...

Superb idea. @Joeychgo created a « for sale from other sites » sub that works perfectly and filled a big demand on FCBO. Joey has thanked you for the above post, so I cross my fingers that he will follow your suggestion here too. That would be very cool.

What is this piece on the firewall?

I can't remember where I read this. One purpose was that the compressor was guaranteed some running time in the off season. It was always stressed that the AC needed to be run once in a while to keep everything "happy" and working well, so this made a lot of sense to me.

    Additive to fix Torqeflite shudder?

Dare I say the replacing of the 8 out of 11 qts of trans fluid may have done the trick! I'll be driving it several more times to confirm but I think we're onto it! If nothing else it has reduced the vibration considerably.

So many guys drift out way to early. Sad.

What is this piece on the firewall?

When I finished the resurrection of my 68 Charger, I verified the time delay worked. That was back in 2016. I'm pretty sure I have not used the defroster at all since then. I have used the AC every year though.

@furyfinn passed away three years ago. I never met him but we conversed quite a bit. @Joeychgo

Well, the mods can't create any new forums for the members to post in....only the site admin or the site owner can do that.

What is this piece on the firewall?

When I rebuilt my system I put a ball bearing in the vac line to the time delay so that whatever was going on in that mysterious device, it wouldn't happen anymore AND I wouldn't be dealing with a vac leak. I put it all together nice-nice so it looked proper. As discussed above, when the car...

Eh... I don't think Floriduh has any NWS setups for accurately measuring snow depth like they do up north which as I understand is a fenced in shielded area most likely at a airport where drifting & tree drop snow is minimized. I remember many overinflated reports of snow amounts while plowing...

    NOT MINE 1962 Chrysler 300H 2dr Hardtop, A/C, 83K miles - $35,000 - Fredericksburg, VA

Considering they only built 435 coupes and 123 convertibles.. the likelihood of seeing one at all would be difficult. They didn't need much advertising in those build numbers..

    1973 Newport fan Shroud

There’s a part number for it, based on options (mostly engine size and A/C). Fender tag info would help so that I can match the part number.

What did you name your car?

I don’t name all my cars, but I did refer to my ‘76 Eldorado convertible (with 17,000 original miles) as “*****” as it looked great, but constantly cost me wallets full of money with all the repairs. You know… I’d say: that f’n ***** just cost me another boat load of cash. When I sold it I told...

    1973 Newport

The speedo is run off of a cable from the trans. No generator but alternator....could be something as simple as a wire not connected or something major as a melted wire. Fuel gauge may be the sender in the tank. Just have to do some testing. Do you have a factory repair manual? You can usually...
