1969 Plymouth Fury, Starting/Ignition or electric issue?

Hi John, Thanks for your advice. So, we have no voltage at the ballast resistor (blue & brown wire). We traced the brown wire to the firewall and still no voltage when key is in starting position. Then we have set up a temporary 12V continous directly onto the red wire at the ignition, and...

NOT MINE 1971 Polara Custom 4dr hardtop in Treasure Coast, FL (GF7, 360, $5.5k)

Zero chance any law enforcement used a hardtop, why would they pay more to make a weaker car?

What is this piece on the firewall?

uh-oh, I don't have any kind of tee coming from the intake. Must be why my heater is stuck coming out of the vents. The only vac line is going from the intake to a round vac tank in front, which then goes into the firewall. Any pics of what it's supposed to look like?

    Cam Concerns 68 Polara w 383

Comp Cams broke with their asymmetrical lobe shapes in the 1990s, quick opening and slow closing, so more area under the lift curve. I was surprised to find that Lunati had similar lobes about 5 yrs ago. I have one of the first 268HE cams they made back then. I put it into a 440 block and...

What is this piece on the firewall?

It has been a few years so I'm not positive but I think I turned on the heat and defroster and checked the compressor to see if it was running for a short time then shut off. Pretty sure I got the info from the FSM. I have not tested it since 2015 so the procedure could be different. By the...

    Cam Concerns 68 Polara w 383

Comp still owns Lunati from what I understand. They'll definitely know about the Lunati Voodoo line of cams. The 256 cam should work about us well with your lower compression G code 383. Lots of guys have put higher profile/rumpier cams in lower compression 383's and them seem to work pretty...

    906vs516 heads

440 source heads definitely work on a 383. I have a 68 H code 383 in my sport fury. It is a zero-deck engine...standard bore 4.25" factory pistons align perfectly with the top of the deck. I used a .039 felpro gasket with the 440 source heads. The engine runs much much better than it did...
